The Standard Hopper by Ecogam offers 300 or 1,000 litres capacity and can be used together with any of our vacuum equipments. It is advisable to use a hopper as an intermediate container to increase productivity when spills are large and need to be discharged at long distances from the main unit. The hopper allows continuous operation through an optional rotary valve. In this case, material is aspirated and discharged simultaneously for increased productivity.
Practical example:
We place a 300 litres hopper with a rotary valve for continuous operation at the top part of a silo in the packing area of a big cement plant. The hopper is connected to the vacuum truck GAM-I on one extreme and to the working hose on the other. The main unit creates vacuum inside the hopper and the material collected is discharged inside the silo for reuse in the production process. With this installation the cement company significantly reduces labour and material handling costs.
